Start with Narrowsburg or Callicoon. Both appear in the Sullivan Catskills’ guide to the region’s towns and make good anchors for an afternoon of exploring. Browse the local directories before you leave, then choose a handful of stops instead of trying to see every town in one day.
Let the landscape lead
Leave space in the plan for a scenic drive and a proper lunch. Autumn color changes with weather and elevation, so think of foliage as a pleasant possibility rather than a promise. Stop only in designated areas and keep an eye on the earlier sunset.
Return before the light goes
Back at the house, settle in for hot-tub time or a game night. The extended dock is removed for fall and winter; check the waterfront setup for your dates. You can still make the view the centerpiece of the stay, with a warm drink and nowhere to rush.
